Comments: I went to Dr Buchanan for a cheilectomy (surgery on my big toe). He tried to resolve the pain with minimally invasive approaches including cortisone shot, PT, switching out shoes, etc. When that didn't work, he said the only option was the surgery. I was very nervous about the procedure, and Dr Buchanan was extremely patient and put my mind at ease. I never felt rushed like I feel with so many other doctors. The surgery itself went as planned and the recovery was even better than anticipated. Dr Buchanan himself called me personally the next day (I have never had a Dr call me after a surgery before) and spent 15 minutes with me on the phone answering all of my questions. He is extremely patient and has an incredible bedside manner. His work was exceptional and I have recovered extremely quickly. The scar from the incision looks great, swelling is gone, and for the first time in years I don't have pain with every step that I take. I could not have asked for a better surgeon and a better human being than Dr Buchanan. If you are looking for a foot and ankle specialist, I could not think of someone better than Dr Buchanan. Him and his entire staff are absolutely incredible - best experience I have ever had with a Doctor.
